Childhood Domestic Violence: The Power Of Resilience.

Recently, I learned about the story of Elizebeth Keckly, a model of tenacity. She was born a slave in 1818 in Virginia and soon experienced a life of hardship and abuse. She was made to care for an infant when she was only 4 yrs old and was beaten constantly at age 5 when she tipped over the baby's cradle. She was sexually abused. And she was repeatedly told by her owners that she would never be..."worth her salt".
From an early age, she was painfully aware of the plight of those living in slavery " childhood domestic violence ".
Keckly, had a tough life, which she described as having gone to
" The Hardy School". She gave birth to a child after been raped repeatedly by a white man.
She was often required to do the work of three people. But she also was highly tenacious and made the most of her opportunities.
She learned to read and write. She developed skills as a seamstress, having learned beginning at 6 from her mother. And she developed a mind for business which she ultimately used to change her life.

Did you grow up experiencing childhood domestic violence like Elizebeth ? or do you know someone who grew up living with domestic violence or are you just a loving soul who wants to help children growing up in domestic violence, if your answer is YES, then you're in the right Training program.
