Parents we can eradicate Hate Crimes...Let's start here

I am a parent who strongly believes that charity begins from home. I strongly believe that as parents, we have the responsibility to raise our children in a way and manner that fosters a sense of responsibility , leadership, and partnership. I believe that, the child we see today is going to be the adult we see tomorrow.

So parents, it’s our duty to invest and instill positive healthy values in our children. Let’s start by teaching them how to love and value themselves. Let's model and nurture our children in love and respect. Let's teach our children to respect themselves and respect others and their properties.

Let’s teach our children to value everyone no matter their differences, ethnicity, race and cultural values. Let’s teach our children that everyone is equal.  Let's not practice permissive parenting but rather we should discipline our children with love that points them towards positive values and morality.

We need to teach our children about healthy boundaries and let them know that there’re consequences of wrong doings. Above all let’s raise our kids to fear the Lord. The Bible says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  Parents, we need to be the role models to our children and  we need to constantly instill positive affirmative words in their gentle and loving hearts.

If we parents can take up our duties and responsibilities to raise our children properly and not only our biological children but every child in the neighborhood and our communities then we’re truly heading towards the eradication of hate crimes and every other crimes.
Let's never forget that the child we see today is the adult we shall see tomorrow...
