The first inward storm is: The fear of Failure. Some people determine, "If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence that you've tried.
FAILURE = We hide it.
= We deny it.
= We fear it.
We do everything but accept it.
By acceptance, I mean resignation and apathy. I mean understanding that failure is a necessary step to success.
Have you ever failed at something? How did you feel?
Will you agree that, the man who never made a mistake never did anything?
Without a doubt, I say a BIG yes to the second question. (Let me know what you think in a comment below).
Now let's look at the Biography of man who failed, and failed, and failed but never gave up. . .
Abraham Lincoln's : Biography of a Failure:
1.) Difficult Childbirth.
2.) Less than one year of formal schooling.
3.) Failed in Business in 1831.
4.) Defeated for legislation 1832.
5.) Again failed in Business in 1833.
6.) Elected to Legislation in 1834.
7.) Fiancée died in 1835.
8.) Defeated for Speaker in 1838.
9.) Defeated for Elector in 1840.
10.) Married, wife a burden in 1842.
11.) Only one of his four sons lived past age 18.
12.) Defeated for Congress 1843.
13.) Defeated for Senate in 1855.
14.) Defeated for Vice-President in 1856.
15.) Defeated for Senate in 1858
16.) Elected President in 1860.
Abraham Lincoln failed countless times, but he never gave up. What if he would have given up his political race in his first defeat? Sure he won't have become the US President in 1860.
Now we see that accepting failure in the positive sense becomes effective when we believe that the right to fail is as important as the right to succeed.
Great write up. Sometimes failure takes u to ur destination
