I remember when I became born again. I also remember the times when I sinned and felt condemned. I developed a sin conciousness that told me I was just a sinner saved by Grace.Even preachers would say that as a Christian, I was nothing but a sinner.
I believed them. At that time, I did not expect God to show up in my prayer time. I felt that either I was not worthy or that God was too busy to answer a sinner like me.
Each time I would pray, I would repent of my sins and kept repeating the same confession each time I go before God. I did this out of habit because I was trained to be sin conscious. I became stagnant, and had so much confidence in my old sins...nothing was working in my spiritual life. I wanted more of God but I was short off. I spent several hours in the Word and went to Church and Bible studies...but nothing changed.
I was desperate...I was hungry...I needed God but God was so far from me..not because God wanted to be far from me, but because I had a wrong mindset. I was a Christian but felt completely empty. I was like an empty basin under the rain.... Worst still, I considered myself as unworthy... unworthy to stand before His presence, unrighteous, a sinner.... those were my daily confessions...but one day....I came across these scriptures (Romans 3, 2Corinthians 2)..that was the day my paridym shifted and since then, things have changed and I'm growing daily in His grace and love.
Lesson:
(Romans 3: 20-26)
Righteousness = Justification and we're justified by Faith.
The word justified means : Declared righteous.
So when we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Don't let your past, your sins hold you down....Jesus paid the price for your justification. Jesus loves you for who you are and He's always ready to mold, shape and transform your life to His image and likeness.
Jesus doesn't condemn! the Bible says there's therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.

As the Holy Spirit is ministering to you right now.... surrender your life to Jesus...repent of your sins and follow Him....
* I want us to know that the battle is not won just because we have received a new nature. Our flesh still wants to return to some of the same sinful things we did prior to our acceptance of Christ. We have to renew our minds to the reality that we are no longer the same person we used to be. We have a new nature. We are now by nature the righteousness of God.
My new identity is: " I am the righteousness of God in Christ."
Jesus loves you.
May the Lord bless you and cause His Light to shine upon You and give you peace.
