Do You Know God Is Able?

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26 NIV) Knowing and believing God is able-that all things are possible with Him- brings confidence and courage for each day we live. We don’t have to rely on ourselves; we have Him, who is able, indwelling and empowering us for his glory!
Meditate on it, Pray it, Believe it—His Word is true.
  • Meditate on it . . . As God instructs in Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate (listen, think, take it to heart, absorb it) on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
  • Romans 4:20-22 (NLT) Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous. Daniel 3:17 (NIV) If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV) Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen. Jude 1:24-25 (NLT) Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen. 2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV) And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
  • Pray it . . .
Romans 4:20-22 (NLT) Father I pray it will be said of me that I never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, I pray that my faith will grow stronger and in this bring glory to you. Help me be fully convinced that you are able to do whatever you promise.
Daniel 3:17 (NIV) LORD, at times it feels like I’ve been thrown into the blazing furnace. Help me remember that the God I serve is able to deliver me from it and that you are right in the furnace with me. And LORD, when you and I come out, may I be quick to give you all glory and praise as my God who is able to deliver!

Thank you that you don’t just call me, but you equip me and give me all I need to do the work you have for me. May it all bring you glory!
  • Believe it—His Word is true
In Jeremiah 32:27 we find God saying, “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” God is able! Nothing is impossible with Him! Nothing is too hard for HIM! Where does this truth need to be applied in your life?
